- If it isn't right
- Tell us what's wrong and we'll narrate it again. If we still can't make it right, you get your money back. Retailers set their own rules on AI narration, so we can't promise any shop will take it.
Questions
What does the finished file actually sound like?
One continuous narration, split into chapters that your player can skip between. Get the free sample first — it's made exactly the way the full book is, so what you hear is what you'd get.
How good does my voice recording need to be?
About sixty seconds, read at a natural pace, somewhere quiet. A phone works. Avoid background music, echo-heavy rooms and clipping — those are the only things that really hurt the result.
Do I have to use my own voice?
No. Two studio voices come with every tier — Alder, warm and unhurried, and Wren, brighter and quicker. You can hear both when you upload your book, and switch between them before you order.
Can I sell this on Audible or Spotify?
The file is yours and it's DRM-free, so nothing on our side stops you. Every retailer sets its own policy on AI-assisted narration and those policies change, so we can't promise any particular shop will take it. Check their current terms before you commit.
My EPUB won't upload.
Files bought from a retailer are usually DRM-locked and can't be opened by anything but their app. Export a fresh EPUB from Vellum, Atticus, Scrivener or Word — or paste your text straight into the editor instead.
Who's behind this?
VoicePub is a one-person studio in London. Orders are handled personally, one at a time — which is why the studio voices are just someone's actual voice, and why an email gets a real reply within six hours rather than a ticket number.
